Activities Calendar For Kids

by Jenni on July 20, 2007

Young children have small appetites and they need adequate nutrients for healthy growth and development. So nutrient rich snacks through the day, will provide all the necessary nutrients their bodies need, ensuring proper development.

Try these snack ideas as a healthy freezer snacks as an alternative to the common snacks that provide little or no nutritional value:

- frozen bananas: peel a banana anad put it on a stick – then let it freeze in the freezer for a couple hours. Better yet, let your kids prepare them!
- frozen grapes: I’ve always used green grapes – rinse them well and pull off the stems… then, put them in a baggy in the freezer until frozen.
- Frozen Yogurt: Blend yogurt and fruit in a blender to make a smoothie – pour into fun shaped ice-cube trays with toothpicks sticking out… perfect for a warm afternoon or an ice-cream replacement.

Snacks aren’t the only tough thing to get creative about with young children… sometimes just daily activities need a little creative boost. We have found the Kids Activity Calendar to be the perfect solution! Each week they send you a nice sized packet of information that teaches all about the letter of the week.
