Smoothies for Summer

One thing I love about summer is the ease of making breakfast :)

Breakfast in our home on a hot summer day usually involves a smoothie – made to order. The kids love them and they are a super nutritious treat too! I always make sure our freezer is stocked with frozen fruits – bananas, strawberries, peaches, mangos and berries… I get the big yogurt tubs of vanilla yogurt and am sure to have apple or orange juice on hand too.

Throw some frozen fruit… some yogurt… and juice in the blender and blend away! The frozen fruit acts as ice and makes the smoothie nice and thick!

Forget spending $4 at Jamba Juice – make your own smoothies this summer!
